About the Program

University College Dublin (UCD) was established in 1854, and is currently the largest, most international university in Ireland with an enrollment of approximately 17,000 undergraduate students. Ranked among the top 1% of universities worldwide, UCD is a research-intensive institution with a reputation for a creative and collegial environment and for teaching excellence. The Quinn School of Business is ranked one of the top business schools in the world and is AACSB accredited. UCD boasts an active student union, with over 100 clubs and societies, and regularly sponsors sports matches, films, concerts, and other social events.


University College Dublin is located in the Belfield neighborhood of Dublin, about 4 km from the city center. The capital and principal city of the Republic of Ireland since the medieval period, Dublin has always maintained a pretty cosmopolitan outlook and in the last two decades has conspicuously embraced diversity and multiculturalism. Particularly renowned for its active social activities, theatrical life and literary history, Dublin is home to numerous pubs, restaurants, theaters, museums, and cinemas.

Academic Calendar

  • Full year: early September to late May

Fields of Study

Fields of study include: Accounting, Business, Finance, Management, Marketing.

You will most likely take courses or modules from the second and third years (or stages).   You may take all of your classes within the School of Business, or you may take three business classes and up to two additional courses in the College of Arts and Celtic Studies.

You are required to enroll in a full courseload and complete all exams and assignments associated with the course regardless of the credit you wish to receive on the program. Withdrawal from a course or failure to take/complete a final will be regarded as an unauthorized reduction in courseload and a violation of the academic policy.

A full courseload for this program is: 25 ECTS credits per semester

The minimum passing grade for this program is: C


You are required to live in program housing.

You have three housing options:
  • Catered Residence hall: traditional dormitory with a dining hall attached or nearby. This accommodation includes a meal plan in the housing fee.
  • Self- Catered Hall: student residence hall where you will have access to a shared kitchen. Meal plan is not included.
  • Off Campus accommodation: You would work with the Center for Study abroad to find shared off campus accommodation.
