About the Program
CIEE’s program in Seoul
is based at Yonsei University. Founded in 1885, Yonsei is one of Korea’s most prestigious institutions of higher education. In addition to a wide range of courses in English or Korean, students have the opportunity for excursions, special lectures and cultural activities.
The Arts & Sciences at Yonsei University program is located in Seoul
, the capital and largest city in South Korea, with a population of over 20 million residents.The university is located less than 20 minutes from downtown Seoul on a large, green and hilly campus.
- Fall: mid-August to late December
- Spring: mid-February to late June
Fields of Study
Languages of instruction are Korean and English.
Fields of study include: Art/Art History, Asian Studies, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Economics, Environmental Studies, Government/Political Science, History, International Studies, Korean, Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion/Theology, Sociology

You are required to enroll in a full courseload and complete all exams and assignments associated with the course regardless of the credit you wish to receive on the program. Withdrawal from a course or failure to take/complete a final will be regarded as an unauthorized reduction in courseload and a violation of the academic policy.
A full courseload for this program is: 15 credits
(Georgetown requires students to take 6 credits of intensive Korean language.)
The minimum passing grade for this program is: C
You are required to live in program housing.
You have two housing options:
- SK Global House: On-campus dorm with double occupancy rooms
Meals are available at a food court, several campus cafeterias, and at local restaurants.
